A letter for you

    Good day, Mr. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. I am Ma. Anthoneth Riberal, a student in Ilocos Sur National High School. First, congratulations on your victory. I am hoping, that you will be a good, responsible, and a wise leader. Ask not what our country can do for you – ask what you can do for our country. 

    We have so many problems in our country. And the first thing I observed, is the serious crisis we are facing right now—the very low learning outcomes among our young and older children and even among those in higher education. Many observers blame the COVID-19 pandemic, however, even before the pandemic struck, the country was already performing badly in learning outcomes, from early education to the higher levels. The deep impact of the pandemic only surfaced the deep cracks that were already shaking the foundations of education as our core institution early on. 

    And I also observed the problems of proper waste disposal. The main waste disposal problems include producing too much waste, most of which is toxic. Landfills have become challenging to manage, and we still rely on old technology to reduce and recycle waste. Some green-labelled waste disposal technologies are not green, and regulations are based on vested interests. I hope you will not just implement a law to prevent this, show actions and a real behaviour to solve this problem. I hope you and your governments will find a best solution for these problems, Sir.

These booths cover a variety of industries, including industrial arts, agriculture, wellness, automotive wellness message, and food production where students make products and sell them. 3. What have you learned about this event? - It helps the students to grow their abilities so they can be more useful now and in the future. Students are encouraged to use their skills to complete a variety of job assignments, which helps to increase their passion for what they are doing. 4. How can you apply the learning in your daily life? - It may provide students with a way to make a living wage. And they will have also an extra income for their studies.
